The Technical College Systems of Georgia Workforce Division

The Technical College System of Georgia Workforce Division, previously known as the Governor’s Office of Workforce Development, works to improve the job training and marketability of Georgia’s workforce and drive future economic growth for the state. The Division was established to implement state workforce development policy and administer the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) funds under the leadership of the State Workforce Investment Board (SWIB).

The Division works with macro-level workforce and employment issues to help Georgia be competitive economically in the Southeast, the nation and across the world. The office believes in the importance of soft-skill education for career success.

HomeSafe Georgia

HomeSafe Georgia is a federally funded, state-operated mortgage assistance program that helps homeowners avoid foreclosure. A homeowner who became unemployed or under-employed through no fault of his/her own within the last 36 months may be eligible for the Mortgage Payment Assistance program.

Georgia Department of Labor Career Center

Offers job placement services, Unemployment Insurance service, and job search for job seekers. Assists employers with hiring needs. With the Workforce Investment Board, co-sponsors resource centers include assistance with resume writing and job applications, typing tests, Internet job search service, FAX machine to fax resumes and job applications.

 

Georgia Veterans Online One-Stop

 

State of Georgia Department of Family & Children Services

Administers the following programs: Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF), Medicaid, Food Stamps, Employment Services, Childcare Assistance, Foster Care, Child Protective Services, Adoption Assistance, and other relief services. Referral system to other agencies and faith organizations for clothing, food, housing and utility assistance. We welcome volunteers who can assist in our efforts.
